Welcome to Aberystwyth Community of Gamers (ACOG), the society devoted to video gaming within Aberystwyth. Established in November 2010, we hold regular social evenings and gaming events including trips to compete with other universities and e-sports. We also pride ourselves on giving people a chance to hang out, and an opportunity to meet like-minded people in a friendly atmosphere. So whether you’re a hardcore pro, or just looking for a place to chill, ACOG has plenty to offer. Visit our Facebook group for the latest.

ACOG holds a wide range of social, casual and competitive events throughout the academic year. Anyone is entitled to come along and get involved regardless of whether they are hardcore gamers or just looking for a place to chill out and meet new people. In any case, check out our Facebook Group to see what is going on.

The monthly tournament, is the trademark ACOG event that fills the student union with consoles, PCs and most importantly gamers. We try our very best to ensure there is something for everyone and as such we maintain a perfect balance in game genres and platforms. At the same time we also want to see a variation in our games so each month members get the chance to vote on different titles for the following tournament.

We also run a leader board system throughout the year which ensures that even 3rd/4th or 5th/6th Play-offs are just as important as a final. And if that doesn’t sound like enough, there’s also an Awards Evening at the end of the year where we see a climactic finish to the competition and a range of awards presented.

How to Join

Joining ACOG is as easy as visiting the students union website.

So if you're half as good as you think you are, we'll see you there!
